If I asked you, "Do you look after yourself," your immediate answer would be,"Yes, of course." But if you sat down and actually made a list of how many times you have taken the time to look after yourself and show yourself some well-needed love and attention, most of us would be surprised at how small that list would be. In this series, we'll be covering what self-care really is and how we can use it to not only benefit and uplift ourselves but to become our best selves so we can maintain a good relationship with others. 

Whether it's for yourself or someone that you know that struggles with a mental illness or lack of confidence, a self-care kit is a really easy, affordable way of looking after yourself wherever you are. Self-care is simple. Just like that sentence. But just because it's simple doesn't mean that it's easy. Looking after yourself is deliberate. It means putting aside your own time and energy, listening to your body and what it's trying to tell you and paying attention to your physical, emotional and mental self.
